The children's Sunday School is planning to devote their offering to Heifer International!  Heifer International fights hunger and poverty in many third world countries.  They are committed to empowering small-scale farmers to achieve socially, economically, and environmentally secure livelihoods.  In short, the kids can buy livestock for people in need!  The livestock are a strategy for alleviating poverty and achieving food security and proper nutrition.  Livestock provide food and nutrition for people, and tangible assets with which they can improve their livelihoods.  So, please, when the children ask for your spare change, don't hesitate!
