Pastor Joshua Yorks
A Message From Our Pastor
To begin with, my parents are both pastors in the Conference, so I have been accustomed to pastoral life pretty much since birth. I grew up attending Christian schools, including college at Albion, a small Methodist college in Michigan. After a year's break, I then attended Eastern Mennonite Seminary in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
I met Susie, my wife of eight years, while at Albion, and we married one month after my first appointment. A year and a half later our first son, Joseph, was born. One seminary graduation and two appointment changes later, we had James.
Like my wife, my hobbies include spending as much time as possible out of doors. You can often find me hiking, hunting, or using my phone to find geocaches/play location-based games. I just enjoy being outside. I am also active with the Boy Scouts of American and Masons.
I feel called to small towns and to serving the entire community. I enjoy working with community organizations and other churches.
It is important to me to get out of the church building and engage both the community and those who are unable to attend regular services. Visitations are a fundamental aspect of my ministry, and I spend a good portion of my time traveling to visit people who may be home bound or hospitalized.
I look forward to serving Holy Trinity Church and the community of Troy.
